Thirst-quenching!

Getting a head start on week #3's assignment: abstract food. More to come in this vein in a bonus post - I have a few different shots, but this is the one that got picked for today's photo of the day!

I'm loving your photos!

What camera do you have and what lens are you using? How are you getting the close-ups so clear? I need to take a photography course to learn how to use my new Canon T1i.

Oh my gosh. I love this! But tell. What is it - my boyfriend and I tried to guess. Is it a coke with ice? Your pictures are so clear!

Awesome - looks straight out of a magazine. Macro lens? :P

Thanks everyone!

My secret is a Tamron SP 90mm f/2.8 macro. It's designed to focus at short distances for a 1:1 shot (meaning the size of the item is the size of the image on the sensor, that's why the close-ups are so clear).

And those are pomegranate seeds in club soda. :)

I'm putting the macro lense on my wish list. I'm also going to go have me a club soda and pomegranate seed drink right now :)
