Out for a walk, again

For the second day in a row, I brought my camera to work today. The weather was exceptionally co-operative, so I trekked off through a rather nice neighbourhood near my office. I got several good shots, but this one made the cut for photo of the day. The others will make an appearance in Urban Fragments, Part II this weekend!

This is what I get when I miss the bus...

Hot pink and lime. Truly, one of my favourite colour combos. I lucked upon this on my way to Safeway this evening - I originally planned to take the bus, but I just missed it outside my office. I decided to walk instead, and I'm glad I did, because these lovely colourful balls of silk flowers were hanging outside one of my favourite florist shops. I never would have seen them if I hadn't missed my bus!

Urban Fragments, Part I

I was digging through my shots from earlier this month and came across these photos I took on my lunch break. This isn't an official Project 365 submission since they're almost two weeks old, but I wanted to share anyway.

Another multi-photo day!

Today is another multi-photo day! I needed to get some more stuff done for an assignment, so I accompanied my husband to his hair appointment (despite feeling like a truck hit me today... ugh!), which happened to be close to a very fascinating inner-city neighbourhood. I wandered around with my camera for an hour while he was busy, and I quite enjoyed myself.

Photos 3 & 4 also pertain to another class assignment: "blue". Glad to have knocked out a couple for that one that I really like!

The Tower

My assignment for class next week is a tough one: shoot the Calgary Tower. Simple enough? Of course not. I need to shoot it in an "interesting and innovative" manner. Oy. Today's Project 365 is a set of six that I shot this afternoon. I am thinking I might need to go back, I'm not totally thrilled with all of them.

Back on campus

Tonight I was short on both time and inspiration. It was the first night of a new class for me, which meant leaving the house very early in the morning for work, and not coming home until after class was over (at 9:30pm!). I took my camera with me so I wouldn't miss a day of my Project 365!
