A sneak peek...
I spent a good portion of my morning shooting for my lovely friend of Frost Cupcakes. It was great to work with her lovely cupcakes in a variety of flavours, and here's a sneak peek of what I got!

Colouring inside the lines
... well, almost. E has been trying SO hard to colour inside the lines lately, and I find it insanely cute. She's such a little artist!

Tricky Noodle Soup
I have fond memories of my father teaching me to slurp noodles from a bowl of what he called "tricky noodle soup". It wasn't much more than ramen, but that inexpensive lunch was some of the best bonding time between father and daughter. I decided it was time to introduce Eliza to the fun that is "tricky noodle soup", and I think it was the most fun she's ever had eating lunch!

Pampered Princess
I decided to break out my bubbly massaging foot spa today to pamper my tired feet. As soon as Eliza saw what I was doing, she insisted on having a turn. My little cutie really enjoyed reading her book while getting her feet pampered! Two and a half and she's already a little princess. ;)

Daddy, Be Mine?
Eliza spent a good portion of her morning working on a valentine for her daddy, with a little assistance from me!

Leaves
Taken on a little photo-walk around my office. The colours of the leaves contrasting against the red brick of the building behind really jumped out for me.

Random Greetings
This is not an especially amazing photo, but the sentiment struck me and I really wanted to share it. This was a post-it note just stuck to a utility box of some kind beside a busy pedestrian area. What wonderful graffiti!

An experiment in cross-processing
Normally I'm a big fan of crisp shots and true colours, so I'm trying to step out of my comfort zone and work with some cross-processing actions in photoshop. I'm really liking the results, I think I will have to play some more!

Another assignment shot. This one is for "abstract home". I'm seriously lacking ideas on what to shoot for this one!

My little rockstar, take 2
Eliza's Rock Band obsession continues... whenever her daddy plays, she wants in too. This time, she was happy to play the guitar. I love my little rockstar!

Eye-catching
I pass these huge banks of flyers every day and rarely give them a second glance, but this poster caught my eye. I have no idea what the rest of the poster said, I just loved this interesting pattern!

Kick Ass!
I'm scrambling to find things to fulfill my 'creative logos' assignment for Tuesday night. It's too late in the day for me to drink coffee, so I'll just photograph it! This is one of my favourites too, it's the Kick Ass blend from Kicking Horse Coffee. Yum.

The Flight Computer
Bonus post time! Last weekend, one of my friends had his flight computer out. Now I have no idea what this thing is or what it does (even though he tried to explain), but it was fun to shoot with my macro lens!

Quickie Road Trip!
My husband had a rare Saturday off, so we decided to take a road trip out to Lake Louise with some friends to check out the ice sculptures from the competition last weekend. We had a nice little walk around before retreating to Banff for a nice leisurely lunch. Great way to spend a Saturday! And because it was such a good day, here are four photos from our Lake Louise wanderings. Bonus!

Disposable
One of my class assignments is to shoot corporate logos in a creative way, as if we were shooting for a client. I somehow doubt Starbucks would like the image portrayed by this photo, but sadly, it's a cold reality of our disposable consumer culture.

Out for a walk, again
For the second day in a row, I brought my camera to work today. The weather was exceptionally co-operative, so I trekked off through a rather nice neighbourhood near my office. I got several good shots, but this one made the cut for photo of the day. The others will make an appearance in Urban Fragments, Part II this weekend!

... my "abstract food" assignment, that is. Only the top of these shots is from today, but I thought I'd share the others from my archives that are going into this assignment (along with the apple-orange and the pomegranate & soda shots).
